Nightshift Leading Hand

Trifecta Recruitment have partnered with a highly respected commercial builder that have built a strong name within the Victorian market through repeat clientele, quality project delivery and the strength of their internal team.

The business deliver a combination of fitout, refurbishment and new build projects across sectors including Commercial, Retail, Industrial, Education and Childcare, with projects generally ranging up to $40m in value.

One of the major drawcards of this builder is the calibre of leadership within the business. A number of senior staff come from Tier 1 construction backgrounds, bringing strong systems, structure and professionalism, while still maintaining the supportive and close-knit culture of a mid-tier commercial builder.

With a healthy pipeline of secured work continuing across Melbourne’s western suburbs, they are now looking to bring on a Nightshift Leading Hand to support upcoming projects.

This role would suit a carpenter or leading hand looking to take the next step in their career and move towards site management. The business are happy to invest time into the right person and provide the support and mentorship needed to help make that transition successfully.

Your New Role Working alongside experienced Site Managers and Project Managers, your responsibilities will include:
  • Coordinating and managing trades onsite during nightshift operations
  • Assisting with programme management and ensuring works are delivered on time
  • Maintaining site safety and quality standards
  • Managing subcontractors and day-to-day site activities
  • Working closely with the wider construction team to ensure smooth project delivery
What You Need To Succeed
  • Carpentry background or experience operating as a Leading Hand within construction
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
  • Ability to communicate well with trades and subcontractors onsite
  • Desire to transition into site management long term
  • Local Melbourne construction experience is essential
