Trifecta Recruitment have partnered with an established and highly reputable builder-developer who specialise in delivering high-end apartment and townhouse projects across Melbourne, typically up to $20m in value. Based in Fitzroy and in operation for over 15 years, they have built a strong name in the market through repeat clients and their own development pipeline.

With a consistent flow of work coming through both loyal clients and internal developments, they have a strong pipeline of upcoming projects, predominantly located across Melbourne’s inner and South Eastern suburbs.

Due to continued growth, they are now looking to appoint a Junior Project Manager / Contract Administrator to join the team, working on a high-end apartment project in Northcote.

Your New Role

Working closely with the Commercial Director and broader project team, you will be responsible for:

• Supporting the delivery of a high-end apartment project from a commercial and project coordination perspective.
• Letting and vetting subcontractors, preparing scopes and assisting with subcontract awards.
• Managing subcontractor progress claims and variations.
• Assisting with financial tracking, forecasting and reporting.
• Supporting overall project delivery, working closely with the Site and Design teams.
• Client management and engagement.

This role offers hands-on experience and strong mentorship, with direct exposure to senior leadership.

What you need to succeed

• 2–5 years’ experience in a Contract Administrator or Junior Project Manager role within Commercial or Residential Construction.
• Local Melbourne/Australian construction experience is essential.
• Ideally experience working on apartment projects.
• Strong commercial understanding and willingness to learn.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• A proactive, positive attitude and eagerness to develop your career.
• Relevant qualifications in Construction Management or similar (preferred).
